My partner and i are ready to have children, a girl we know came to us with the news she was pregnant and did not know what she was going to do. After a while we mentioned adopting, she was hoping we would. She is 100% about us adopting her baby. Now how do we legally do this...also my partner and i are gay so only one of us will be able to legally adopt but we are just at a total loss of what to do, how to do it, and even if this is possible.

My 24yr old step son has been living with his father and I for 3 years . He pays no bills , or contributed in any way . His dad made a verbal agreement with him 40 days ago for him to move out in 30days and his dad would give him 2000$ to move . He took the money and haven't heard anything since . I filed for a temporary order for parenting time and sent the papers to the last known address, and the papers were returned to me. What happens if i don't get them delivered because I have no clue where he lives at, with my children? Does my childrens father have the right to keep his address from me when there's no custody order and I also have a order of protection against him

We rented our current residence in September 2018. The owner of the property said we did not have access to the front entry area closet and it is locked. There are also other large items that were in the house ( the largest is a China cabinet that we were told we could not damage and a few rather large wall paintings) Nothing was said during the lease negotiations nor is there anything stated in the lease agreement about these items. I want to use the closet and the other items are taking needed space. Technically I'm paying the landlord to store his stuff. What are my rights as a tenant?

I was just given a 5 day eviction notice saying, I didn't pay my rent. The notice statement included bed bug extermination, into my rent. I am also being charged a late fee and taxes added onto both extermination and my rent. I paid my rent on the 3rd, on time. Is it legal for them to evict me, by adding the bed bug extermination to my rent? It was in dispute, as was handled properly by myself. Continued bed bug infestation in building & complex. A few residents in my building also had them much worse, when I filed complaint

can the landlord request only bank checks for rent due to his employee was stealing money orders? because it costs me $8.00 a check to make.
