  • I changed my name when I was 19 YOA with the Social Security and then got married. I'm now divorced and the box was not checked off to restore my maiden name. Now, I want to get my drivers license in Arizona but, my birth certificate has my birth name and my divorce shows my married name. Now AZ MVD told that there is no legal document when I change my name when I was 19. So they what me to change my name back to my birth name just so I can get a drivers license. Now my California ID show my changed and married name Social Security has me in there system with both names.
  • I recently rented a room for my wife and I from a couple in Phoenix. I paid a deposit and three months rent in advance totaling $1625. I received signed receipts. Before moving in the landlord changed our original agreement and asked for a separate fee for utilities. We had agreed on a monthly rent charge that would include utilities.I informed the landlord that if he could not adhere to our agreement I would remove my property and wanted a refund. After considerable difficulty I was allowed to do so but a refund has been refused. A lease was also refused. I never stayed in the home even once.
  • When I was 18 I got a class 6 undesignated felony. I did my probation and got off it early. I turned in paperwork to the court to try and get it dropped down and it got denied. I am currently in my second year of ASU and have not been in any trouble. What can I do? I will not be able to get a job.

  • my landlord back on january 21st 2020 gave me a 30 day notice to vacate, i moved out february 3rd, 2020, however my landlord is still charging me for the full month of february. can my landlord do this? i dont see how my landlord can charge me for the full month of february since i moved out february 3rd 2020, the rent should be pro-rated for the 3 days of february that i was still at my old apartment?
  • My ex husband has now been incarcerated for the past 5 years. He has charges of domestic violence and aggravated domestic violence against me which happened in front of the kids. I currently have sole custody and he has not seen or spoken to the kids in at least 4 years. I would like to terminate his parental rights, is this a possibility?
  • I have had a debt that was disputed, the credit card company kept adding fees and interest until they found we would not pay. It has been 10 years now they are threatning to serve me with a summons, my question is there a statute of limitations.   • I had made an appointment for a visual mold inspection to be performed at the condo I rent, due to my landlords not taking action and telling me it was my responsibility to pay for a test. I informed both the Inspector and landlord that I was running 10 minutes late. The landlords did not wait for me to be present and let the inspector in my home without my permission, had the test performed and was done before I arrived.If I made the appointment and did not give permission for them to enter or was informed they entered, is there something I can do about this?
  • My ex-girlfriend and I obviously separated and have not done any legal custody paperwork with our (she is the mother) two children (ages 3 and 1). The boys constantly stay at the house that I own and never go to their mothers. She only sees them at my house for the 40 hours that I work per week and that is it. Their addresses (including the mother's mail) all come to the house that I own. She has now grown upset and wants to take the children to some long distant relative in Colorado just because she is angry. I do have the 3 year old enrolled in a local Prescott Valley school as well.
