QUESTIONS

  • In the city of Phoenix Arizona they are allowed to charge a 2% tax fee on rent. My apartment complex charges 2.3% on every single charge on the bill. My rent is $757 and I pay $17.41 for taxes just on my rent alone. My mailbox is on site but I have to drive 20 minutes and pay $40 to pick up my mailbox key! Even though it's onsite. It's not a P.O Box. They also charge a $21 fee to pay my rent online but they refuse to let us pay any other way than online. When asked if the 2.3% tax is included in property tax the employee agreed it was. Is this legal to keep charging all these fees w/ high tax?
  • I live in a apartment under my moms name and she is getting help. From a government program to pay her rent. On the lease she agreed if anything we're to happen to her like if she dies i have x amount of days to move out. Well yesterday the manager said i will have 5 days After her death to move out. She is now on hospice and can go any day. I have no where to go. Can i still stay here legally for 3 months like any other eveiction??
  • We moved out 12 days before end of lease and had inspection we were present for and she said it looked great and posted a new rent sign. Just got our deposit back and the charged us $260 for cleaning which we had done and $530 for repairs they had done such as changing bulbs and cleaning the outside of the grill. Is this legal. Shouldn't we have been notified so we could have seen these things and possibly addressed them ourselves. We still had time left in the lease and they had traffic going through for showings.   • In 2005, I had double strokes which left me unable to walk, memory loss,or to feed myself. My youngester daughter always took care of me. During that time I lived by myself in my home. My only son volunteered to stay with me in my home and take care of me. He lied to me in Dec. '06 and made me sign over the title of my home. He no longer wanted to take care of me so he told my oldest daughter to take me for the weekend while he changed the locks to my home. My oldest daughter then took me to my grandaughter's home and left me there. Now I am living with my youngest daughter and want my home back. I was in no mental condition to know what was going on, I trusted my only son.
  • Home I was renting was forclosed on and Purchased on short sale. When my lease was up my landlord gave me a 45 day notice to move. Now they want me to pay 4300 for redoing the house. The house was not in good shape when I moved in. I cleaned the carpet when I moved. Now couple of the charges are professional carpet cleaning, deep carpet cleaning, de order carpet, cabnets, counter tops, doors replacement. I was in the home 7 years. They want me to pay for them to redo home so they can sell. There was nothing wrong with these things they replace. One door had shifted. were and tear. Help
  • My home was to be foreclosed on 6/13/14 my husband and I filed for bankruptcy on 6/11/14 and advised Ocwen, our servicer and provided the case # to them, Ocwen in turn advised us that there would be NO foreclosure that they would put a hold on it. About a week after that we received notice of the foreclosure sale date having been moved up to 7/8/2014, I again called and they advised me that there was NO sale due to the bankruptcy filed, then in next 2 weeks I had people coming to change locks on my doors which didn't happen bur was advised that my home was now REO that it had been foreclosed.

  • I was charged with(DV) but my ex-spouse called the district attorneys office and told them that I never hurt her or had physical contact with her... I keep telling the courts "why am i being charged with a crime if there's no victim, & the so-called victim called the DA's office to inform them about that there was no assult... I do have a very bad pass record but in none of my passed have i ever had a DV on my record... Could use some advice on this matter... Thank you for your imput....
