  • I am full time caregiver for my my mother who is 90 and bedridden. We are living on social security with only a few thousand dollars in savings and she has over $15,000 in credit card debt. She owns the house and I need to stay there when she passes (I'm unemployed - executor & heir. Will the credit card companies be able to force me to sell the house to pay them off? Will they be able to get the few thousand dollars left in her savings account?
  • I was in a chapter 13 with my only debt being my mortgage. I found out Monday my house has been sold at auction. I never received any type of notifications that my chapter 13 had been dismissed,or any notifications that I was in foreclosure, as a matter of fact I had sent the mortgage co $4,000 the previous month.   • I move into apt Oct 7, The move in date was set by them month in advance, I been waiting for a apt. They gave me a costsheet with the correct move in date, it had the monthly rent would be, what I am responsible for, deposits, fees, and summary of movein total. It also stated what paid by tenant and proof need for move in such as electric acct number. We both signed it and it required two cashier checks and listed the amount. Nothing changed. once move in they audit and found out they calculated the prorated days wrong. Now they want more money. I budgeted using their form

  • After foreclosure involving a single family residence the new owner filed an unlawful detainer action against the tenants who had no rental agreement after serving them with a 90 day notice to quit. The tenants refuse to move and have not paid rent.They only had a month to month oral agreement with the former owner. One of the tenants claims that he is on parole and cannot be evicted. Is this a valid defense to the UD action?
