  • I was just given a 5 day eviction notice saying, I didn't pay my rent. The notice statement included bed bug extermination, into my rent. I am also being charged a late fee and taxes added onto both extermination and my rent. I paid my rent on the 3rd, on time. • While I was out of town, my apartment had a sewage backup, and subsequent mold infestation. Tenant was notified of the uninhabitable condition on Dec 11, met me at the property on Dec16, and offered to replace carpeting with tile. I provided written notice of uninhabitable condition on Dec 16 as well. I'd like to know several things: 1) do I have a right to demand mold inspection and remediation? 2) landlord has suspended rent as of 16th, but am I entitled to storage, moving, and/or living expenses while repairs are being completed?

  • Have Lived at the same complex for the past 3 years. The complex has new owners for the past several months. Old management used to give me (at my request) a copy of my check with the stamp and /or signature of received. Deadline to pay the rent is the 3rd of each month. Now the new management refuses to hand me a receipt before the 4th of the month. My question is, where is the proof that I handed the check to them in time to avoid late fees? There lot of rumors among neighbors that they are trying to scare people out to renovate more units and raise the rent. What are my rights? Thank you.
  • I have had legal guardianship of my grandson in Arizona since he was 15 months old. He is now 11. My husband has been given a promotion and we now have to relocate to Indiana. As legal guardian am I able to just move with him? Do I need to file paperwork? Do I need his mothers permission? She is still unable to take care of him in a stable manner. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You
