  • I have filed for divorce. I did this on January 28, 2008. I cannot afford an attorney so I am having to do this on my own. I also filed a petition for temporary orders. The hearing is on the 22nd of February. I did not understand the instructions to serve my husband. I took the papers to the sheriff's office on February 4. What happens if my husband doesn't get served on time? I just mailed the order to appear yesterday, 2-13.
  • I live in a senior mobile home park in Phoenix, AZ and own my home. The park owner is sending threatening notices that he is making a new rule that all tenants have to provide proof of homeowners insurance and minimum coverage shall include comprehensive liability, fire and windstorm insurance, and coverage for the removal of home in case of a total loss. None of us seniors can afford this. Wouldn't the AZ Landlord and Tenant Agreement Act, ARS 33-1452 - Rules and regulations, Item B pertain to this?
  • Where can I get help for my 39 year disabled daughter who has been on SSI since 2001 and last year was denied SSI, we are receiving part benefits as she is in appeal but need a lawyer to assist us on her case before we go to court in front of a judge and also help her to get her benefits back permanently. Any lawyers I have contact want a deposit and hourly wages which of course anyone on SSI couldn't possibly pay. Where can I go to get her proper representation without a huge bill??   • In june or july our gas was shut off due to non-payment. when a technician came to turn services back on he left a notice stating the waterheater was in unsafe condition and the light had not been lit. After consulting with Southwest gas, we were told NOT to light it ourselves under any circumstances. When we informed our landlord of this (via text message) he bombarded both my husband and I with vulgarity, and told us he wasn't fixing anything. In fact, he accused us of breaking it. We STILL have no hot water and I am now at the point where I am ready to sue. Need some guidance, please?

  • I was charged with(DV) but my ex-spouse called the district attorneys office and told them that I never hurt her or had physical contact with her... I keep telling the courts "why am i being charged with a crime if there's no victim, & the so-called victim called the DA's office to inform them about that there was no assult...   • I live in a rental apartment. The microwave oven door fell apart and when I called to have it repaired I was charged for the repairs which cost more than if I had replaced the oven. There are also fees that were added on for community amenities that were not listed in the lease, such as community electricity and common gas, and valet waste and waste management. ?Can the apartment complex charge me for these even though they are not listed in the lease?
