  • I own my trailer but rent the space. The owner of the park passed away and we were left alone for a few months. Rent checks were returned and it was chaos. I received a certified letter saying I have not paid rent for 4 months, when I know I have. I have proof for 1 of those months, but cannot find the others. The office is open for 3 hours a day while I'm at work, so I stick it in the outside mailbox that is locked. Other tenants have received the same notice and said they also paid. Some tenants are also suing the park for abandonment. What can I do to prevent paying rent twice? Thank you

The notice says "Medical Lein" Is this legal? They are being paid by the company and they also want to collect from us? The letter says I should submit a claim to my home owners insurance. Help?
