QUESTIONS

  • My boyfriend was married to someone and had a baby with her. She has said before that he is not the father, but still came after him for child support. How do we go about getting a DNA test to see if he is actually the father?
  • My landlord has been retaliating on me because I filed a complaint with the city for them failing to remedy a bed bug issue. Now they are refusing to make repairs, harassing me at all hours of the day and night and threatening to evict me with unjustified causes. Additionally, my lease is up in 3 months and they are planning on showing my unit for the next THREE months which is excessive and highly invasive. What can I do to prevent all of this?
  • I have been divorced for over three years. I have primary physical custody of my children but share legal custody with my ex. We live in two different cities. My son is autistic. Can we legally register my son to attend school in the Tempe district even though he is only at his father's home in Tempe 30% of the time? Or do we need to revise the physical custody agreement in order to legally enroll him?
  • My Landlord is charging me late fees because I owe late fees. Can they do that? They charge $10 a day for late fees and I only pay $579. in rent. I know that they take out late fees first with any money you give them so they keep you behind so they can keep charging you late fees. How can that be legal?
  • I was a victum of domesticviolence. Because of that my son and i had to live with my drug addticed mother. Now the father of my son has full custody. And i am forced to pay child support i can not afford it. What should i do?
  • my apartment complex has all expired fire extinguishers. are they in violation?
  • I have a deadbeat stepson that is 20 years old who won't do anything to help himself. He says he does not need to get a job & says I have to take care of him. What are my rights & options to get him out of my house. I am a renter so I don't know if that matters.
  • If my 81-year-old husband predeceases me without a will, how is his estate settled? We have no children together, but he has three grown daughters. The bank accounts, house and car pass to me because we own them jointly with right of survivorship, but what about other property he owns by himself?
  • We are senior citizens. A bank is offering us a home loan that we assumed was fixed interest-the rate dropped a fraction, even-then I happened to notice an unfamiliar phrase with a tiny checked box-'demand feature'. I looked it up: the bank can demand payment, calling the loan, at any time without giving a reason. It said that some states prohibit that practice. Is Arizona one? Calling the loan could destroy us and force the property into foreclosure.
  • I’ve been married for over 3yrs but he’s been in and out of prison and cheated several times so we separated about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I started dating someone and got pregnant . When I had the baby I didn’t know it was illegal for the boyfriend to sign the birth certificate and not put my husbands name until a friend told me. So what do I do to fix it without getting in trouble? Like I said I had no idea as this was my first child.
