  • I recently purchsed a used boat and plan on suing the seller for breach of contract by material misrepresentation. He lives in Pinal County, I live in Maricopa County. The physical transaction occurred in Maricopa County, however the negotiations occurred over the internet. Can I file the claim in Maricopa County small claims court and have him served in Pinal County, or do I have to file in the county where he lives?

  • I work for a mobile home community owner. The local municipality supplies our water. They also are responsible for maintenance of the water distribution system up to and including their meter. We then submeter the water at each individual site for each homeowner. We are also responsible for maintaining the distribution system from the City's meter up to and including the meter on each homeowner's site. Then the homeowner is responsible to maintain the system from the submeter cutoff valve into their home. This is the same with all utilities - gas & electricity. Is this correct?
  • My husband and I moved 3 weeks ago in a home that was vacant for three months prior to us .we moved hear from California and I bought all new bedding and linen few days after moving. My sofa is also brand new. I have never had bed begs be for in my life so they didn't come from my home in California. I do not own a home or a car and my only income is Social Security. The letter from the agency selected by the credit card company says there are various means they can use to collect. My question is, what CAN they do to me? A call to the agency got me nowhere. I am also the sole caregiver for my handicapped mother.
  • We've been living with my boyfriends parents and we're paying rent every month. This month we paid rent, then 2 days later we were given the rent money back and told us we have 30 days to find somewhere else to go. Then 2 weeks later they decided to let us stay and are now asking for rent money again for this month. (and we are going into an apartment next month "July") Any advice on what to do would be great!
