QUESTIONS

  • Do you have to show up to court? I'm not disputing the eviction. I just want to know how many days I have to move and the papers are not 100% clear. The court is further than I thought and would rather not waste the money in gas to go if it's really not necessary.
  • We live in a senior residence (my partner is 58) and they have a "chiller" system, in addition, they pay all utilities. Tonight (at approximately 9:30pm) we returned to our 2nd floor apartment which had risen to 80 degrees F (from 75). We both suffer from allergies which makes opening windows problematic (I have an inhaler as well) as well as hypertension. My blood pressure elevated from the hot temperature. I know at some point they change from an A/C based system to a heating system. What are our rights in this situation?
  • We have been married for 23 years. My husbands last surviving parent recently passed away leaving my husband some property and money. If I file for divorce is that inheritance considered community property?
  • I just found out I have a protective order filed against me that says it has been served I have never been served what do I do
  • My husband and I have been married 30 years. In the divorce papers he filed I am to receive nothing. I want to fight for spousal maintenance. I only work part time and have for 20 years. I have osteo arthritis in my knees and it is difficult to for me to get around. What are my rights? Also, all the stress he has put me under made me have a minor heart attack a few months ago. What about medical. I know when the divorce is final it ends. I can't get it through my job. It's too expensive. What are my rights?
  • I discovered AT&T has fraudulently been charging me a "dial-up" fee for my email account. The amount has been between $12.95 and $21.95 every month, and I've had broadband since 2005. I read an article about a lady in New Jersey who had the same problem and she successfully sued AT&T. I'd like to take them to small claims court, but I don't know who to send the claim to. Do I send it to the corporate office? Doesn't someone have to be named? How do I serve them notice?
  • My children (14 & 17) just started overnights with their father. After a 9 month period where he didn't visit them at all. He has a live in girlfriend and 1 year old child with her. He is now in the habit of leaving my kids to babysit the 1 year old and go out with his girlfriend during his visitation. He and his girlfriend go out drinking. They have a domestic violence history (but more than 2 years ago) involving alcohol both times. Can I prevent this in any way? Isn't visitation supposed to be for my kids to spend time with their father, not babysitting his new kid until midnight/later?
  • My daughter is 15 and she still dont want to go visit with her dad, she says dad treats her bad like an inmate and make her feel bad and dont feel safe, she gets a lot of anxiety when its her days she has to go, can I take her to court and find someone that could help us support her at court?
  • Does social security income count towards the AHCCCS income limits? There are 2 in the family getting social security and no others in the family.
  • What are the obligations of the obligee if she has an existing college degree and all children are in school all day? Is there any requirement that she get a job? She is not in an education or training program.
