  • I am the guardian of my 2 grandchildren (their mother is my oldest daughter) she had been in a domestic violence situation with the kids dad (he is in prison until July 2016) she lives with friends, no job, possible drugs. He does drugs and has a new girlfriend pregnant. I do not want either of them to obtain children EVER. What can I do to protect the kids and myself since Arizona tends to want to reunite children and parents. This is not a good idea with either of the biological parents. I love them to much to have them suffer. Guardian since 2010, they are age 9 and 6. suggestions?
  • How can my ex-husband file court papers changing the custody orders made with our divorce, stating that i can not take my son out of the county they live in. hes not even his son. its a long story and i need help getting my kids back.

  • I was evicted for nonpayment of rent March 31. April 2, I notified landlord with letter stating demand for whereabouts and costs for moving and storage of my property. Landlord replied with "when you pay me what you owe, plus moving and storage expenses, then we will talk." Landlord then gave me a $4500 moving and storage bill (her handwriting) in which same moving company quoted me no more than $1800. On the 20th day we contacted landlord where she said it is considered abandoned and that if we contacted her anymore she would file harassment charges on us. What do we do?

I was not home at time, my children had noticed the problem, the neighbor contacted the management,her apt. was also flooded; when I arrived home and called it was after office hours; I contacted the build. maint. I told them we are not staying, we needed to be placed elsewhere, he talked with management, they gave us a 1 bdrm apt. myself and mother are both disabled. Is this not biohazard?? toxic? shouldnt the carpets be replaced? WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?

  • My wife and I rented a home in Sun City Arizona, a few months in, what they thought was a windshear tore off the Arizona room ceiling and threw it on top of the house. We call the owner immediately and let him know and he said he would take care of it, we also let him know we had our furniture in the Arizona room And would be covering it so that there would be no damage. Unfortunately, it was very hard and we did have rain, our high top bar set and tile top table and patio couch and chairs were ruined because of the heat. The landlord took almost 3 months to finally get someone to replace the ceiling.
  • Do I have to run credit on everyone that turns in an application to rent my property? What are fair reasons to deny the application without running a background? I have an applicant threatenubg to file a complaint on a violation of the fair housing act, citing race as her reason. honestly, i’m not sure what race she even is but I denied her because she stated on her application that she filed for bankruptcy in 2010. What is fair in this instance? Are there printed guidelines for landlords to follow when accepting a renter?

I know there are public exposure laws, but does it make a difference that is in my own property and with an enclosed yard?
