  • I would like to know if I have any recourse for management abuse in the community that I live. The managers are sending threatening notices about speeding in the park and proceed to stop and watch me drive through the park whenever they see me. I was going the posted speed limit yesterday and the manager was yelling and gesturing to me to slow down. The abuse has got to stop. We are being targeted. I am sending a complaint letter to the company that owns the park, but I would like to know my legal recourse to file an official complaint with the state housing dept.
  • my husband left me and my children, he is the father of our 6 yo daughter. He has been gone almost 2 months, and has not helped out financially at all. My question is, in the event of my death or incapacities, how do I grant my parents legal custody of my daughter. I am wondering if I can type a letter and have it notarized since we have not started divorce proceedings at this point in time. I just want to make sure my parents get my children in case of tragedy.
  • My ex stole my dog. I adopted her while we were dating, her adoption paperwork is in my name ONLY. We have since broken up, and he took her without my permission and will not return her. One cop said it's theft of personal property, but suggested trying to deal with it directly with my ex first, then follow up if she wasn't returned. I followed up and the next cop I talked to said it's not theft of personal property because I adopted her while in the relationship with my ex, and the adoption paper doesn't matter even if my ex and I were never married so it's not a criminal issue. Is this true?
  • I am not married to my daughters father, we recently split due to domestic violence. I am talking with him and his lawyer to get a resolution before our temporary orders hearing. The only term we are not agreeing on is that I want to stipulate that my daughter and I can relocate to Colorado in a year. His attorney keeps saying the courts will not accept that even if we come to an agreement on everything else before our court date. I spoke to an attorney who told me the opposite. How do I word this to his attorney or is his attorney right?
