Also, 14 days since both days has passed and I'd like to file a claim in Small Claims Court but I moved out of state.   • I am renting a room in a house. The landlord has not given me a signed copy of the lease/agreement. The landlord does not give me a rent receipt. I have been living here for about 8 months, sending/mailing the landlord checks regularly. Now, the landlord is asking me to give a detailed breakdown of rent/checks paid ad the associated dates in a specific format. I have done the best I can. The landlord has been sending me multiple messages regarding this over the weekend. Isn't this the landlords job, to keep track of the rent/checks paid. I feel the landlord treats me differently versus others.
  • My husband and I own a home and have rented out a room to a man under a month to month lease. After 8 months we have decided that this is no longer what we want and have served him his 30 day notice to vacate. During this period he has moved his girlfriend in who never leaves our home even when he is at work and stays the night every night for the past 2 weeks. We clearly have it stated in the lease that the tenant shall not have overnight guests for more than 2 nights in a one week period. Can I call the cops and have her escorted off our property?
