QUESTIONS

  • I have a service dog and was recently informed that my apartment cannot charge me rent for him. However, at the time of my move in, I was unaware of this and the landlord did not make this known to me so I have paid $20 a month pet rent for the past two years. Am I entitled to reimbursement? They say it was not their responsibility to inform me and that they are not obligated to inform tenants of this exception. And that it was my responsibility to know this about my dog and to inform them. They are no longer charging me as of July as I have now documented that the dog is exempt
  • My husband and I have partial custody of our 11 year old son. His child parenting plan states that he is only see his son every other weekend for a total of 6 days a month. His mother and stepfather are constantly traveling for work. We end up having him 50-75% of the month. He feels unloved in the other home. At what age can my step son choose to live with us or with them. We are from Minnesota, but permanently reside in Arizona now.

  • I moved in to my apartment on 6/8/18. On 8/20 I found bed bugs in my bedroom. I documented everything and my property manager said she would be sending the exterminator on 8/24 to start the treatment. My question is Who pays for the treatment? When I asked the property manager this she said the cost is split 50/50. On the lease it is NOT stated who is responsible. But, all of our furniture was purchased brand new after we moved in, so I do not believe I as the tenant should pay but I need clarity.

I was reasdured and the resltor would not clarifiy it in writing. Sure enough exactly what I predicted, she did and at first casuing me to lose 5000 below what I would ever agree to. Now she claims she will give up her commission but she has been so j trustworthy , I am afraid she will steal my home or rip me off. I am devastatedshe would do this and am afraid to go to closing for more aggravtion and stress..
