  • My mother rented a place on a month to month basis, signed a lease, paid a $600 deposit, and was asked to give a 30 day notice when she planned to move out. She moved in 11/1/2017. On 11/14 she went to the ER and was admitted to the hospital because we found out she had a spinal cord tumor. On 11/20 she transferred to inpatient Hospice and died there on 11/22. Her things were moved out and the place was immaculately cleaned on 11/26. Her landlady knew she wouldn't be returning as early as 11/18. Is she obligated to return the full $600 deposit even though a 30 day notice wasn't given?
  • My landlord gave us more than a 48 hours notice to do a building/maintenance inspection for either the 21st or the 22nd. They showed up on the 23rd and I was told that they already gave me notice and that because it took longer than expected it just rolled over to the next day. I received no notice that it was rolling over to the next day and she even said that she didn't have to give that kind of notice because I got one about them showing up on the 21st and 22nd

  • My mother Passed away on June 28, 2013. Since then my dad has remarried and kicked my little brother out of his home he is currectly living with my older brother, my sister in law and I. We recently tried to get him registered for school but could not and had to wait on my father who is always late with things that are not pertaining to him. He also gets my brother social security he give it to him. I do not think its fair that my lil brother should have to go over my dad's house with his new wife and get his own money or any other document. Please let me know how to obtain guardianship.

  • Bankruptcy was done 6/2010.My mortgage was included and at same time GMAC mortgage was going thru bankruptcy and Ocwen took over my payments which I continued to make. I was not aware that I was to reassume my loan nor advised by Ocwen or lawyer on this.
