QUESTIONS

  • I will be going through a divorce soon but I want to know a little before I jump into it. I really want to go for full custody and I feel for numerous reasons I would get it. My ex is in the military and I feel it would be good on my part of the battle because he will end up deploying again as well as the chance of him being stationed out of country or even out of state. Is there anything you could tell me?
  • What can I do about the Guardian & Conservator, my sister, of the family trust who sued me to prevent my visiting my mother? She falsely accused me of being a threat to my mother. I have spent all of my savings, sold my car, sold personal possessions like furniture, jewelry and tightened my belt as much as possible to stay afloat. Jackie (the sister, guardian & conservator already mentioned) lies to the court continuously about, for example the assets in the trust and slandering and libeling me. In effect, I am paying for her to sue me.
  • I have submitted notice on 7/28/17 that we would be non-renewing our lease and it would end, as stated in our lease, on 9/12/17. This provided excess of 30 days notice as required. They did not respond until today, 8/7/17. When we moved in, our rent for Sept '16 (9/13 - 9/30) was prorated. In our notice, I stated we would be paying the pro-rated amount of our rent due on 9/1 for the 12 days we will be occupying the apartment. The management let us know that our lease will end on 9/12, but we are responsible for the entire month of Sept. rent. I am unsure. I have communicated with them by e-mail because I wanted to document it.

The value is 22,998.00 with 17,200.00 still owing on the finance contract. He owned nothing else of any value. Will a notarized affidavit for collection of all personal property suffice and if so do I need to provide it to the court as well as the finance company? Thank you
  • I started renting out a room in 9/2018. I received rent until middle of October and have been waiting for payments until then. In March I received $ 250 out of $ 450. I already served this tenant with a 5 day non pay but could not follow up with the eviction notice because I got sick. I am mostly wheelchair bound on top of that. Now this tenant has moved several pieces of furniture into the garage without my permission, blocking access to parts of the garage. What can I do and what can I do with those furniture? Please, I just want my peace back. I need help.
  • I had mold and filth in my A/C unit and gave the landlord 10 days to repair it. They did not and we were still sick so I gave my 30 days notice to move out. They refused to recognize they broke the law and is pursuing to charge me the early termination fees. Can they do that !!? Why won't the health department get involved in the mold situation?

They said that I had to pay for the pest control people to come out and spray .. I also found out that one of the other units had bed bugs less then a year ago.. shouldn't they have to pay or have someone check all the other units???
  • Does the renter pay the HOA fees for the landlord,since this landlord didn't comply with a lease or any written agreement concerning rent it was all verbal.
