  • I own a rental property with another person, can I leave my half of the property to my children with a beneficiary deed?
  • I'm a school counselor and over the semester I've gotten to know my students. One in particular has a mother in Mexico, and is living home to home currently. Her current living situation is temporary. She's over 14 and wants a stable home. I'm willing and able to be a guardian. Would school policy, district policy, or situations where the child is not related to the guardian be an issue? Would a lawyer be recommended to aid this process?

  • I sent a maintenance request to my property management to fix my broken AC on Sunday. It's now Thurs. They are waiting for the owner to respond to getting a brand new AC unit. Am I entitled to have my rent pro-rated for the time it was broke after advising them as a tenant? What amount of time do they have to fix the problem before I can legally act?

  • The AC went out in our rental, today. We had it serviced two weeks ago and there was nothing wrong with it then.
