My son turns 18 years in a few months. I feel it necessary to move him out of the house when he turns 18. I have heard that it isn't that simple. Can I simply ask him to leave and if he doesn't what are my rights? Since age 16 he has been destructive, disrespectful and has stolen thousands of dollars from us. Police have been involved, therapists, family therapist, case managers etc... The home is in turmoil... It's time for him to go.

I have a home that my son is living in. No lease. He hasn't paid rent or utilities and I'm paying everything. I have been telling him to move, but he won't. What can I do to make him move?

My daughter's apartment got on firer by the other apartment works done in the same building. Therefore she has moving around from places to places for at least 6 times and still paying the same rent. The landlord cant give her a definite day for her to move back and keep avoiding to talk to her with this issue. It has being more then a month now. What can she do?? Please advise!!

I gave my ex verbal notice of my relocation with my 4 year old, 2 mos prior to the relocation. He was receptive and understood my reasoning. I sent a letter cert. mail and it was returned to me because he failed to pick it up. So I then hired a process server, which was successful. Its now 4 days before my moving date and he has served me w/ a summons to establish parenting time and custody. My position at work has already been filled and I'm to be out of my apartment by the 5th. Am i obligated to stay in the state now? Or can i temporarily relocate?

Because of the current coronavirus pandemic both my daughter and son-in-law will be laid off indefinitely. Their current lease ends 6/15/20. They notified rental office that they would like to end lease 6 weeks early (end of April) because of this financial hardship. They will live with us until things get back to normal. They have given rental company 45 day notice that they will vacate apartment at the end of April. Rental company is telling them that they will have to pay 2 month penalty for breaking a lease 6 weeks early. This does not sound right during this healthcare emergency!

The house we rent is in foreclosure. Are we obligated to stay in the house for the 90 days allowed or can we move as soon as we find a new place to live? Can the landlord hold us to the terms of the lease even though the house is in foreclosure now? Can he take us to court if we move out prior to the end of the lease?

I have joint custody of my son and have been divorced for several years now. My question is do I need his mother’s permission to travel out of the country to go visit some family. The trip would be only a few hours. I have read the decree and no where does it say travels are limited to domestic and all I must do is inform her of any travel plans.

I moved into a house 7 days ago and informed the landlord that the toilet was clogged, dryer didn’t work, shower broken, refrigerator broken and some other various things. I made a huge mistake by cosigning on a car loan for a girlfriend back on 09/15/08. She only made 9 payments on the vehicle then let it go back to the bank. It’s been almost 6-1/2 years since she made her last payment and now they’re coming after me, after all these years have gone by. I was told that Arizona Statute of Limitations A.R.S. § 47-2725 is four (4) years for auto loans. But their attorney is ignoring that and coming after me regardless. It's now October 2015 and they are coming after me for the loan amount + interest totaling $13,000 altogether. I'm retired and living solely on Social Security of $1,776 per month and two small pensions totaling $624 which = $2,400 per month. And I'm living with my daughter to make ends meet. Therefore I can't afford to pay theses people. I had an initial pre-trial conference on 10/8/15 and represented myself because I can’t afford an attorney. It was determined that there will be a trial on 12/14/15. I told the loan company in court “that I have no money and living on $2,400 per month and living with my daughter to make ends meet, and they’re still pursuing the trial date. My questions are: 1) Will the Arizona Statute of Limitations A.R.S. § 47-2725 four (4) years get me out of this mess completely? 2) I've been told and read online that Social Security income and Pensions “cannot be garnished”. Do you know if this is true? If it's true then I have nothing to worry about and won't need to file bankruptcy. 3) If I lose my case can I file bankruptcy on a judgement that's been awarded against me? 4) Can they levy / garnish my checking account where my Social Security checks and Pension checks are electronically deposited?
