QUESTIONS

  • What can a person do to seal a class 6 felony non repetitive , aggravated DUI record? I could not get a set aside judgement because it was too premature. I did get the civil rights and the right to posses arms. However, how can I seal the court records, criminal or civil so I do not have to answer my record for a job application?
  • I was involved in a probate mental health case in 2003. I was under the impression that those files were sealed yet I was able to locate the docket available for public view?
  • I bought a car cash which my boyfriend put on his name, what rights do I have to the car legally, altough, I paid s it
  • I have a friend who wants DNA done on a child. He has already been ordered topay child ssupport. Plus he wants to sign his rights of all 3 kids over to the mother. She has a restraining order against him and has had him arrested before for domestic violence. He doesn't want to keep going to jail because she wants to take away everything he has. Can he sign his rights over?
  • Does arrears combine child support and spousal support
  • I live in a manufactured home on my daughers land. In lieu of space rent, I "sold" my trailer and car to her back in 2010. It is now jointly titled. When I die, I will only have household possessions, clothes, some jewerly. My entire possessions if sold at yard sale prices would probably net less than $2,000. Would my daughter have to do a Small Estate Affidafidt for my few earthly possessions? The cost of filing and hiring a lawyer would surpass the value. I may have to go on Medicaid as well- do they go after personal possessions (not property)? I would hate to have to cause such a burden for such few possessions. Thank you!
  • I rented a house and since I have moved in I have had significant and constant reoccurring breathing problems. I have been to the ER and Urgent care and it is worsening. The property management company has said they will get quotes to have the vents cleaned but will have not. What are my recommended courses of action? Am I allowed to break my lease with no recourse from them due to medical problems? How can I find out if there is a mold issue in the home?
  • I have a signed lease that states my rent is $680 for my student apt. Before moving in the apartment was changed and the new rent became $50 more per mo. I paid this, but never signed an adendum to the original lease - this is my first apt rental. Do I have any recourse to ask for the $50/mo back (now totaling $250) since the amount was never part of my lease or because I paid it, does it mean implied acceptance and binding. They are charging me a break lease fee and I'm trying to get them to come down on the amount. I feel I was taken advantage of since I'm young.
  • I have been employed in AZ. for 36 years to a Texas based company. They have sent notice that I enroll in direct deposit by Dec.1st,2014 in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement made by my union in july 2008. providing that, "the carrier may implement arrangements for the direct deposit of any payments due its employees covered by this agreement." They did not offer alternatives or consequences for failure to do so, only that I would be "subject to remedy." Can they force me to direct deposit or "remedy"? I currently receive my pay bi-monthly via USPS. Thank you.
