  • My landlord and I agreed upon me sending him 12 post dated checks for each month of my lease to be deposited on the appropriate month. After 6 months renting from him I closed my account due to fraudulent activity and have decided not to open another. I notified my landlord of the closure and advised I would be either mailing or making a direct deposit into his account going forward. I have never been late with my rent and my landlord is now telling me that the post dated checks are a requirement of my lease. Again, we agreed on the checks but I never understood it as a requirement.

Do I have to wait to receive a letter telling me I already know what happened and what I need to do? I want to pay today to get my car out.

  • I own a mobile home and rent a lot. I recieved an immediate eviction notice due to criminal acts. My 7 year old son was playing and broke a window on a vacant trailor owned by the park. we did not know until the eviction came. he is the only biracial child gets blamed for EVERYTHING. there is a boy a few doors down who purposely broke out windows on two trailors and set fire to the park grass and he's still here. there are other kids who have vadalized etc and they are still here. where do we go from here? is this discrimination?
  • My lease is coming up for renewal at a complex that recently changed ownership. My neighbor is currently reviewing the new lease and trying to decide to stay or leave. The lease has an addendum saying that Tenants will be chaged CAM fees for ALL common area maintenance and repairs and all expenses to operate the property. They will determine the amount of each tenant's share by dividing the entire cost of CAMs divided by the number of units leased (not the number of units within the complex). They will not provide an estimate to "not to exceed amount". Can they do this? Big repairs comin
  • Can a manager of a MH Park make demands and there own rules regarding fencing, remodeling etc even if there is nothing in the tenant agreement to such things! Iam being denied a small fence for my dog as to its a wire fence, and not allowed, so the manager says its her decision?
  • I was at work and there were two people in my home without my consent and one of them had a warrant, and the other person answered the door and allowed cops to come inside without a warrant and found guy with warrant in my bedroom. They then said they found drug paraphernalia in plain view. They arrested me later in the week and charged me with paraphernalia. What rights did cops have and what should I do? I donot plan to plead guilty for this charge. Please help.
