  • My apartment community has changed ownership several times since I moved in 4 years ago. I discovered that my unit was wired to provide electricity for one of the apartment amenities that was outside of my unit. The management has fixed the problem but they are only offering to reimburse me for the time that they owned the property, about 13 months and told me that I would have to track down the previous owners for the rest of the money. Should they be obligated to pay a rebate for the 3 years that I was paying for their electricity or do I indeed need to take it up with the previous owners

  • I gave my 30 day notice on April 1st stating that I would not be renewing my lease at the end of May. I was told by the Secretary that the manager does move out inspections when he feels like it. I am unable to return for a move out inspection because I am starting a job in another town. My question is from what date do I begin counting the 14 days for my security deposit to be returned?

  • Landlord gave permission for me to move out early and help find another tenant. Its been almost 2 months and no one has been approved. Landlord has changed rent price multiple times in ad and doesn't follow up with possible applicants. Plus repairs being done to place means I haven't lived at property all of June. Can I just move on and not worry about paying rent and get my deposit back? My lease is through Dec. 2016, but my landlord doesn't seem to be very quick on finding a new tenant or making sure repairs are done in a timely manner. Repairs are on the chiller system and bathroom as well.
