  • We rent a house from our landlord. The house has a swamp cooler the connection from the swamp cooler to the water faucet broke. It caused my water bill to increase by $80. My landlord is telling me that it's my responsibility to know if something is broken and therefore I am responsible for the increase. I informed them immediately after I knew and shut the faucet off. The connection is something that needs to get replaced every year. Is my landlord right? Am I responsible for the water bill increase?
  • I was arrested for driving on a suspended license nov. 2014. They just filled charges on 8-2015. I was taken to the station where he was going to cite and release me. He started to search my purse in which he found dangerous drugs. I did not know it was in my purse. but where he found it went beyond just frisking. Is this correct procdure when being arrested on a traffic violation?
  • In 2005, I had double strokes which left me unable to walk, memory loss,or to feed myself. My youngester daughter always took care of me. During that time I lived by myself in my home. My only son volunteered to stay with me in my home and take care of me. He lied to me in Dec. '06 and made me sign over the title of my home. He no longer wanted to take care of me so he told my oldest daughter to take me for the weekend while he changed the locks to my home. My oldest daughter then took me to my grandaughter's home and left me there. Now I am living with my youngest daughter and want my home back. I was in no mental condition to know what was going on, I trusted my only son.
  • My friend (USMC vet) walked out of work (pt job) yesterday because they scheduled him for a random twelve hour shift, when he had school and work (ft job) an hour after that pt shift ended. He therefore quit without two weeks notice, I understand that. The following day a group message from management; to all remaining staff was sent. It got out of hand when all three managers at some point talked negatively about his credibility as a man and adult. Being a marine as well, I defended him. It got to the point I don't feel secure in my job and I handed in my uniform. Is the company liable?
  • We have lived in a rental since 2009. Two years ago, the house was sold to a new owner and now we have a property management company that we talk to. (Prior was family friend owner). There is a large Tree in the back yard, over 30 ft tall, that has been maintained by the previous owner personally and by some people the property management sent over three different times since taking over the property. Due to a recent storm, the tree has broken branches 20 + feet in the air. The property management company was notified and have told me its my responsibilty. Is this true or not?
  • I am renting a home from a Out of state owner our lease states that rent is due on first of each month.Owner Has us send checks for rent to Wifes' Mother that lives about ten miles away.If we send check out in mail when is it considered sent.If its been stamped at post office around end of previous momth is it considered sent owner insists rent is due on 1st regardless of holidays weekends etc.. insists instead of mailing it out I have to run it to her mother which is out of way to from & from work.Do I have any legal backing as far as this is concerned hard to find info.

  • I am going through a custody case, full decision making and parenting time I am being awarded these things and the child at this age I understand can see her mother and visitation for the mother. I was paying 650 a month for child support and I do have a arrears of 54,000...I am wo.deri g how this monthly obligation is going to change I believe I pay 150 towards arrears am I going to have this child support dropped or reduced to provide for my child while she is living with me?
  • my live in boyfriend of three years was removed from my home which i own with pfa order. if the pfa is overturned at the hearing will he be able to move back in. he has threatened my life in the past.
  • I rent from a rental property management company, and today there was a "NOTICE OF TRUSTEE SALE" post on my door.The letter states that the house will be auctioned off in 2 months(11/13/2015), I'm unsure if I should stay or go before the auction, and if I go would I be at risk if I used the rent to move?
