  • I am in Arizona, my daughters father lives in California. I am letting her go to California to be with her father for a couple weeks. What happens if he does not want to give her back?
  • Signed a lease agreement a few weeks ago to an apartment sight unseen due to current resident. Today, my wife and i received keys to the new apt. Immediately found a roach infestation. In every room and every corner, black and german roaches coming out of the walls. Not one thing has been moved in yet and we were in the apt for about3 minutes. Can we legally terminate and/or nullify this lease pre move in, due to health concerns with our newborn? I have video of the roaches crawling everywhere.
  • Can my current employer require me to sign a certification which prohibits me from holding and using my real estate license or appraiser's license. I was hired in the Real Estate Owned dept of a bank and this was not a requirement as a condition of employment originally but now they want this certification signed, can they terminate my employment if I refuse to sign the certification?
  • I received full custody (legal making decisions) for my son but his father, who is on his birth certificate, did not have to terminate his rights. He doesn't make much effort to be in our son's life and is not allowed to have visits unless they are supervised.   • I have lived in a residence in Arizona since 2007. The lease expired in 2009 and by agreement with the owner was allowed to live without a lease and rent free since then. The owner is now trying to get me to sign a new lease or "evict" me. I have continuously maintained the residence and spent money out of pocket for upkeep including major purchases such as replacing the a/c unit, removing trees damaged by storms, painting, etc. Also paid back taxes for a year when the house was close to tax sale. What are my rights?

  • I have a park manager refusing me access to the community pool because of a late night swim when the gates were closed. No property was damaged.   • Can the landlord charge the tenant for notices served to them?
  • I have a court date of 4/4/16 to address a Class 2 Misdemeanor at Gilbert Municipal Court. This is in reference to a Landlord (me) Tenant dispute. Tenant claims that I "damaged" Wicker furniture that was apparently left behind as trash when Tenant vacated property. How can I secure legal representation for this case?
  • My landlord has yet to return my security deposit. She keeps saying "I'll do it soon" but doesn't. I don't think she has much intention of returning it soon. In her lease, it states she has 30 days to return security deposit, I was unaware that in AZ she only has 14. Since I signed her contract, do I have to wait the full 30 days or does AZ Law of 14 business days trump that?
