QUESTIONS

  • We moved into a apartment in February. The ac never worked, electrical problems, landlord never fixed. Plus bug issue. We never signed a lease or contract. We just moved out beginning of May because he refused to repair items in timely manner. He also wanted late fees because I didn't deposit rent into his personal bank account. I always paid in person., But he was out of state, so I got money order and held it till he returned. He demanded late fees. Now he refused to return our deposit. He didn't do a walk through when we vacated either. What can I do. He charged us 1100 deposit.
  • On the month of April the rent was sent out and i was having trouble gathering the rent money because I got layed of for covid-19, but I didn’t know that the landlord wasn’t charging any late fees I didn’t get any letter no notice, nothing I found out by a neighbored still paid it by my 5 day window. Then the last week of April I didn’t receive the rent bill no one in the parking lot did. But the landlord said she did send it out, we all know she didn’t so I waited a few days the 6 th day I get the rent with late charges but didn’t get the normal rent bill in the first place can she do that?
  • My apartment has recently been bought out by new management. They have renovated the community entirely as well as apartments when people move out, they have requested me to vacate when my lease is up, or stay on for double my rent. Question, if they are gutting my apt entirely, how should I leave the unit when I leave to ensure I get my deposit? I’m obviously going to clean, but, how thorough do I need to be? Everything is being replaced, from doors, flooring, appliances, countertops, cabinets.. etc.

My girlfriends mom knows her daughter smokes pot all during pregnancy and smokes her pot cap pen with her and i think my girlfriends mom may try and get custody of our baby by getting CPS involved during the birth at the hospital. I’m the unwed biological father of my girlfriends baby and I think it is in the best interest of the child to be in my custody so what should i expect and do?
  • Ex & I have a child. First 1.5yr of her life he was MIA, always drunk/selling drugs. 2016 I got married. Custody court ended up being 1 mo after ex got locked up. We moved to Texas & ex wasn't sticking to court even though we sent money for phones/letters he would go almost a year at a time w/out contact. We got a lawyer and filed for Termination so my husband can adopt her. 2 year of fighting with AZ prisons/courts and now he's deported to Mexico. We are moving back to Az. What options do we have to get my husband any type of legal rights/adoptions.
  • I moved into an apartment complex nearly 6 months ago. 2 months ago they announced they will no longer accept payments at the office and the only choice is to use their online app or pay cash at a local Walmart. This was not in the lease when i signed it. The amount due is already pre applied on the app. 2 months of payments are submitted, no record on my account 2-4 days after the 1st. 3rd payment due, is less and unable to 'edit' for correction. I took screen shots of the process and says paid. No payment due for 27 days. I emailed the office about it.can they charge me fees for the error
