We found we have a lien on our property from12/22/06 and it should have been removed but it wasn't and now the company is out of business so how do we go about removing it never went to court on it it supposedly for a bond to release my son from jail on 12/22/06 recorded 01/05/2007 bt we find no court record that my son was in jail those days I have already checked all his criminal records and neither me or my wife remember this transaction

I signed away my rights to my oldest daughter when she was 3, I don't know if I'm on the birth certificate. I didn't sign it, i was in basic training when she was born. I signed away my rights so her stepdad could adopt her. I came back in the picture when she was 12. I've had regular visitation with her for the last 3 years, but want my legal rights back. The mother and adoptive father will not fight me on it, they are supportive. What do I have to do to get started.? I can not afford an attorney.

We currently rent a home. It flooded the home in ankle deep water while we were at work. Is it reasonable to hold my landlord responsible for at least half of the water bill due to it being a maintenance issue? Also, fans were set up to dry the floors and walls, is it reasonable for the landlord to cover at least half of the electric bills?

Apartment has had leaks for years so stated. I moved in Dec. 2011. Leaks have been never ending when it does rain. Mgmt. company is likely to be fed up with me in complaints, and ask me to move. Is there anything to be done this side of making it worse for both of us?
