  • The ownership of the mobile home park is requiring that I pay to repair a sewage line attached to my mobile home that has deteriorated over the years due to no fault of my own. Is this legal, since I own only the mobile home and not the lot it sits on.
  • I am a landlord and have a question about my legal rights to be notified by the power company (SSVEC) before they shut off service because the Tennant did not pay their electric bill. The signed rental contract gives permission to the power company to notify me of a pending shut off. They have this agreement on file. It gets below freezing here and this puts our units at risk of having frozen or bursting water lines. Also the smoke detectors are disabled. I never want the utilities turned off on the apartments because of this. They just shut off the power for 10 days before I'm aware.
  • I have left my house and my mom reported me as missing, and I have a daughter. I don't want to live at my moms house anymore. I am living with my baby's uncle cousin of her father and his wife, they are very good financially. What can I do in so the police can stop looking for me. I am not missing.

So that i can bring my daughter out, not for the whole 6 months but a couple weeks out of the year, she's 5 now. My ex has said she was ok with it but we are not doing anything throgh the courts and my command wants documentation. What would i need to prove 50% custody?
  • I have filed a petition to modify custody and have been denied a hearing. How long before I can re-file?
  • Can i deny court ordered visitation if my childs safety is a concern? ie. my children were victims of child abuse and they just informed me that the abuser has been living with their mother within the last few months and she has allowed this with my children there during her scheduled visitation. my younger child does not feel good about this arrangement and stated he was not comfortable being around this person and that the visitaions have been different. i feel that this is not in their best interest so therefore i did not allow the visitation.

  • I paid my deposit to my landlord with 2 money orders. I have receipts from the landlord for both of them. The landlord "lost" one of the money orders. They are now asking me to pay them again for the lost one and for me to file the paperwork myself to see if I can get the money back from the company who issued the original money order. I feel that once it left my possession and they gave me a receipt that it is their responsibility. Can they penalize me for their mistake?
