My lease ended and I moved from my apartment earlier than I originally anticipated. When planning my move I had submitted a request to forward my mail with an effective date of June 1st because I wasn't anticipating moving early but that's the way the movers worked out. I asked my old complex if they would allow me to get my mail from my box since I have turned in my keys to them already and they said no. I also asked if they would get the mail and just allow me to pick it up and they said no to that too. Are they allowed to withhold my access to my mail?

My felony drug charge was set aside and all my rights have been restored for 7 years. My wife's ex-husband is making my prior conviction an issue in regard to custody of her 11year old daughter. She has been in my life now for 5 years. My mistake was before I knew my new wife. Will my charge put my wife's custody of her daughter in jeopardy?

My ex-boyfriend was arrested in 2014 & sentenced to 4.5 year. I ended the relationship shortly afterward for many reasons including physical & mental abuse. He threatened me if I ever left him & tried to kill me twice. After his arrest, I became homeless & all of our belongings were lost. I have since met someone else & have gotten married. I wrote my ex in prison to let him know his belongings were gone & that I had gotten married & not to come looking for me or his things upon his release. I am afraid he will come after me.Is it possible to get an Order of Protection prior to his release?

I had a friend who needed a place to stay. I told him he could stay at my apartment for 2-3 weeks. I also stated to him not to have mail sent to my residence I advised him a p.o. Box was cheap to go that route. Well it's been about 8 months now. I've been telling him he needs to get his own place and move out for many months now. Finally I just told him he had a couple days and that's all. So he has a place and told the police and my landlord his place would be ready on the 5th of November 2017. He has also changed his mailing address. Can I change my locks now since it's nov.8th 2017?

My lease expires in one month and I just recently received a renewal notice 1 week ago and they raised my rent by 70 dollars and I told them I can not afford the much higher rent. I asked if they would negotiate a lower monthly rate or I would have to give a 30 days notice. I was told I would have to give a 60 days notice even though they only gave me a new 30 day renewal notice w/price is this correct?? Also the whole 9 years ans three management companies later I still have tile that has cracked across my whole front door, punch marks on my doors and metal stains in my bathroom sink
