  • I rent a room month-to-month. Today the live-in land lord told me to move. I know I have 30 days. Do I have to pay the rent on the first of the month?
  • Can my landlord unreasonably deny consent to assign my lease? The lease states it is not allowed without consent but does not state whether landlord can unreasonably deny.
  • There was a major issue with the plumbing and it backed up into my house. This is caused by a sagging pipe and the main line needs to be repaired. The owner is now trying to charge me for the work that was already done even though nothing was found blocking besides the pipe issues. Is this legal??

  • Two weeks ago I had a discussion with my landlord and his wife about being two weeks late on my rent and would need to pay it on the 14th of November. They were kind and said that would be fine and to come in around rent time to fill out a promissory note. During that time and now his (the landlord's) wife left him because he was very abusive. Now Sunday Nov 2nd I went in to fill out the contract to pay on the 14th and the landlord said he was evicting anyone who had anything to do with her. What can I do I am a single dad with no family in AZ.
