  • I leased a house and because of my credit was told if I wanted to rent it, I had to pay, at move in, the first months rent, deposit of one month and a full second month rent, so a total of 3 months rent. I believe that is illegal. Second issue, the house sold and the management company only transferred 1 months rent to new owners as my deposit, not 2 mo. I asked them about it and they never got back to me saying they had to locate the rent roles. I recently brought it back up with them and was told "Nothing we can do, we are done with that property:" How can I get my money back from them?
  • We have a 10 yr old daughter. My ex has supervised visitation, which he chooses not to participate in. He has not complied with any of the court orders to date. It should be noted that there is a history of drug abuse & mental illness. He has now started bullying me online & threatening to take me back to court again. The new theory is parental alienation even though it's of his own doing. My concern is the lies & harassment. I can't afford to lose my job because I support our daughter. I already changed jobs once because he repeatedly called & harassed me there. What options do I have?

The landlord took those payments but with all the late fees building up. Was informed today that our apts were sold and new owners served me with a 5 day notice. The police were called, but the video clearly showed that they were using separate dressing rooms. The police declined to file charges against my daughter although charges have been filed against the friend. We just received a letter from a law firm representing Sears demanding payment in the amount of $168.00. Can they legally bill us?

  • I've had a leak in the wall in my kitchen from the unit above me, I submitted a maintenance request, the maintenance department falsely closed out the request without taking care of the issue and said there was no signs of leakage. I informed property management of the issue, they got a maintenance man to come to my unit and upon first sight he noticed that it was a major problem and stated that he would come back on Monday 01/06/2020 when his supervisor was on duty and has not returned. The leak has been going on for months. I'm sure that there may be mildew by now. What are my rights?
