QUESTIONS

  • joint legal custody, i am the custodial parent, but father has final say. Is the father allowed to deny the child to go to be better school to receive a better education? He has no reason to not allow her to go to the new school other than he doesn't think its necessary. She almost failed 5th grade at her current public school. If I take him to court what are the chances of the judge allowing her to go to the better school? Isn't it supposed to be about what is in the child's best interest, not just about who has final say?
  • Our landlord gave us 1.5 hours to complete the move in forms. Even though we asked for more time by leaving the form with us. She demanded that she had to be there to compete it with us but that she had an appointment and both parties were on a time frame. I want to know how much time Arizona gives a tenant for a move in form. Did we have the right to request more time and the right is she couldn't be there to complete it on our own?

  • Our building is pretty old and the plumbing here is always giving everyone problems. Usually the owner fixes it and that's that. Well this time, the toilet is plugged up and it's the 3rd time. It wasn't fixed right the first time or the second time. Because I have been having problems with it ever since. Including right after they supposedly fixed it the first time. So this time (3rd time) the landlord (not the owner) says I have to pay her husband to fix it. I have a 14 yo son n a 17 yo daughter as well as myself who is disabled n our room mate who islike 63 yo. Do I have to pay?

  • My ex-husband was ordered to pay child support to me when we divorced in 2003. The state this was issued in was Nevada. Since then, we had both relocated individually to California, and now I am currently residing in Arizona since 09/07. Unfortunately, the payments were made by personal check, if at all, and now I do not know where he lives or what his telephone number is. Is there any way to collect child support now for my 2 children?
