  • I moved into my apartment 20 days ago and on the day of move in 2/8/20 I had my walk through with the landlord. That day I raised many concerns but my main concern was the horrific smell of smoke in the back bedroom and bathroom. The smell is so horrible as if the tenant before just sat in closed in the room and smoked. The landlord stated on the day of move in that the apt just needed to be aired out. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, I am asthmatic and have had to use my inhaler and nebulizer EVERYDAY since moving in. Is my landlord responsible for removing the smoke smell from the apart?

In Oct. 2015 I sent the manager/landlord a letter regarding his diminution of services and to reimburse me for when he was not compliant. The remedy was for $1100.00 or 2 months rent. Now I find out that Travel Trailers are illegal to rent. I have had many problems with this place, including electric bills that vary from $50 to $100 diff each month. I need to know my rights so I can stop these people from taking advantage of me. My rent is $539.00 a month with no regular plumbing, water is on hose.

  • My tenant who rents the back bedroom in my 2 bedroom mobile home has given me verbal notice of her intent to no longer honor our oral month to month rental agreement by ceasing to pay rent as of the 1st of the month; but when asked of her intended date to vacate the property she tells me I have to evict her with due process...even though she initiated the termination of our agreement and I accepted her termination. My main query here being...since she verbally informed me of her intent to cease paying rent and to vacate the property and I accepted her termination...do I have to evict her too?

  • Hello, I recently moved out on Aug 26 2016 of a rental property managed by a property management company. On the 14th business day I was sent an estimated security deposit itemized list. When am I supposed to get the final one? Owner of house doing a complete remodel and could be months before she's done. Am I supposed to wait that long to hear back? Also, what is the lifetime of a carpet? Their trying to charge me for cleaning when carpet is 20 years old and we lived there for 5 years.
