  • I had a DUI in 2005. I thought everything was done. In 2014 the court issued a warrant for my arrest ( I found out because they suspended my concealed weapons license ) .I called the city court and they said it was over a DUI in 2005. I went to court , and the judge said I did not do 36 hours of alcohol treatment. I had receipts for traffic school, MADD school, level 1 school . The attorney I had, when I called him, said that a retired judge was going back thru all the DUI cases because Tucson was broke and was trying to get more money from everybody. Is this legal after 9 years?
  • I'm trying to help my mom get food stamps and cash assistance. She is age 56 and gets 480 dollars a month for retirement benefits. However; she has no car and doesn't work. She lives in a trailer. Her bills cost more than what she earns each month. So, I pay the remainder for her. My question is; does she qualify for food stamps and cash assistance without having to work a job at this point? She has no GED and has raised 8 kids and is now divorced. She gets half of her ex husbands retirement, and that's it. I would appreciate any help? I sent in her paperwork by fax.

  • A newly licensed dentist removed all of my teeth except the front six. When he removed my bottom teeth, he did a lot of damage - splintered some of the bone, and tore out a lot of tissue. He did not even use my x-rays; instead, he hung up a dental-chart illustration and used that. He used a pliers-like instrument to violently wrench my teeth from my head, all the while sweating and swearing. He failed to anesthetize my lower front teeth and reprimanded me for flinching when he removed them in the absence of novocaine. I am still receiving bills from them. How do I file a small claim?

  • I have been moved in my apt since 3/26/2020 and I haven't received my mailbox key as of today. I've been inquiring about it. My mailbox needs repairs to get a key and get my nail. My mail is being returned to sending because the office lady won't allow my mail to be left with the office people. So I'm not able to get my mail. They had maintenance fix mailboxes few weeks back but they never got to my and the office lady was unable to give me another date when maintenance plans on fixing mine. Am I obligated to pay rent since my mailbox is broken so I'm unable to receive any mail.

  • Instead of sending rent directly to him, my landlord has had me mail my rent as deposits straight to his bank. I have been using automatic bill pay through my bank, so it's been a hands off process for all involved. He just hit me with a five day notice to pay or vacate, claiming he is owed $11,000+ since April of last year! Is there anything in the law that protects a tenant from a landlord claiming non-receipt of payment months later if my payments in fact were lost and cashed by a 3rd party as it seems to be in this case?   • Our tenant moved out on November 29, having not paid part of October, or November. There are extensive damages to the house that exceed their security deposit. They have said that they do not have money to pay us the back rent, or for the damages above the security deposit. I'm thinking of going to small claims court for the back rent, and then going to Superior court for the damages above the security deposit in the not to distant future. Is that legally acceptable? I am in the process of collecting quotes for repairs. Thank you!
