QUESTIONS

  • My late husband incurred a car repair shop debt before we met. After he died, I started getting letters from an attorney for the shop saying I was responsible for the bill now. Is this true?
  • Does an apartment complex have to provide window screens to the top floor apartments. I asked management and they said they would not provide them and also that I was not permitted to buy and install them myself. This is a safety issue as I have an 8 year old daughter and bees and just recently a hawk flew into my apartment. Also, it's a high second floor apartment and the windows go below waist level, so a child can fall out pretty easily. What are my options?
  • Can my landlord evict me if I don't pay them for accidental damage to a carport/storage area that they had their insurance company pay for?
  • In Arizona when can a legally married man(woman) be charged with rape of his/her spouse?
  • My fiance and I went to Dallas over Easter weekend to get his mother Mary age 76 from the nursing home she was in. She has severe Dementia and her husband agreed to let us take her in. He no longer wants to make any decision on her. Phillip is her only child. We need to get power of Attorney on her. Was told we needed to get a Durable Power of Attorney and would cost us 6k to do this. Is their a cheaper way? How? Thank you
  • My ex wife moved to another state with our children, she does not work, and I ssupport their household financially, however it is all considered child support as it is writen in the decree. I ensured the decree stated I could claim the children on my taxes so long as I am up-to-date with my payments. Due to the condition, there is a form she is required to sign. I am up-to-date but she refuses to sign. What are my options to enforce the decree?
  • My mother in law is not capable of making decisions for herself anymore how to I get gardianship
  • What are rules for Medicaid recipients with regard to the other spouses rights? I'm planning for if I would have to go to a Nursing Home.
  • Are there any type of communication laws, guidelines,(w/ the mother) that are necessary for when I have my children during my parenting time?
  • When I got my divorce I did not indicate that I would be taking back my maiden name. Shortly after, I just started using it. Thirty-two years later I am experiencing a problem with Social Security. I will be 62 next year and need to legally change my name so I will be able to collect my monthly Social Security. I was divorced in California but now reside in Arizona. My question is, will I need a Certified or Exemplified copy of my Divorce Decree? Or no copy at all?
