QUESTIONS

  • i have a problem with my next door neighbor, we have a connecting back block wall that a root of his tree damaged the footing, and his wall because it is connected is damaging my wall and getting very dangerous, my grandkids play in the back yard and i have a pool. i have repeatedly asked him to have the wall fixed and he ignores me. if he doesnt want to fix his wall so be it, but i want him to fix my wall before it goes over.. thank you for your time i hope you can help me in this matter.
  • I'm 66 and have applied for a Loan Modification (it was approved) however, the service r is asking for "Good Faith" money up front before they will finalize the Modification Agreement. This up-front money was NEVER mentioned in any of their correspondence and when I received my Modification packet this past Saturday ...in their cover letter they mention this "good faith" money....but it is NOT part of the Modification Agreement. Is this legal for them to ask for 4 months of payemnts and then start the actual modification payment 12/1/2015? They want this money AND the agreement before Tuesday the 17th ..so this is VERY URGENT for me to receive some advise ...and should I sign the agreement. I'm also searching for a Pro Bono attorney to review these documents. ###

  • My son was terminated from his job for "reporting late to work". He was never given any verbal warning about the possibility of being fired until the day it happened. There were other workers at his place of employment who had, in the past, not shown up for work at all without even calling the employer and are still employed. In you oppinion is he eligible for unemployment compensation?
  • When my husband and I were in the process of being approved for an apartment we were told that we each needed to prove that we had income. My husbands income was enough to cover the requirments, but I needed to have income in case my husband left me. We were able to get into the apartment because I have a very small income from working at home. I am worried that this will come up again when we move to a new apartment. Is this discrimination against families with stay-at-home moms?
  • I have sent two emails to my landlord and a letter with rent asking for a leak to be repaired. I have not received a call or email back to schedule the repair. I know the letter was received because rent was cashed. What options do I have to get the leak repaired?
