  • If a couple is separated and both are named as defendants on a civil suit, and only one spouse is served, is the other spouse still responsible?

  • I bought my mobile home and pay rent for the lot it was already on when I bought it. There are two very tall palm trees on the property. I am being told I need to have them trimmed at quite a high cost for me, as I am a fixed income senior. They look very much like they did when I moved in but do need trimming.   • In our lease it states that we must perfrom regular maintenance to the outside. We live in an HOA, and have complied with all request, and kept the property in good condition. We are about to move out, and suddenly the landlord is saying that we must perform landscaping on trees, and bushes that were neglected for years. We have kept everything well trimmed, but there are areas that there is at least 10 years of old growth (cactus, and palm trees). How much am I on the hook for with respect to pre-existing landscape conditions.

  • I am concerned that my landlord did not follow the law in the Landlord Tenant Act (section 33-1321) concerning Landlord Obligations for security deposits. The law says “Within 14 days after termination of tenancy…the tenant shall be provided an itemized list of all deductions…” I received an itemized list of repairs within 14 days but there were no dollar amounts showing what would be deducted from my deposit. 54 days later, they provided an itemized list with deductions. The law does not say only provide an itemized list of repairs. The law says provide an itemized list of repairs WITH deductions. Since they did not provide the dollar amount of deductions within 14 days, did they violate the law? If yes, what do I do?
  • I was transferred from one complex to another my manager changed all the mail box locks and gave all units a new apt # I was not informed about the lock changes nor was I giving a new key so when I moved to the New complex I asked the manager to please get my mail out of the box I've been at my new unit for 2 months now and inportaint mail that was sent to old address mail was my to renew my monthly income that mail was sent back 2 times so my payment was stopped and can not be reissued for the month I lost now I can't pay my rent can she still evicted me
