I recently rented a house from an individual. To my surprise, after paying all the rent for first month, is that the person I rented this from has signed a relocation agreement with the bank and forced us out of the household in less than a month. Under what statues am I able to pursue this individual? The lease still has 5 months left in contract and we've since been locked out of the household and the landlord has taken a few appliances and other belongings. Thanks in advance!

Six months into a twelve month lease my landlord sold the property. Now the new landlord is telling me that I must sign a new lease. Although she is not raising our rent, other provisions of the new lease are objectionable to me. Must I sign this new lease to preserve my status as a legal tenant, or must the new landlord accept the terms of my original lease?

What are my rights as a tenant now that this has expired. Can I be evicted without notice..do I still have to receive ample notice if the new owner wishes to occupy the home?
