QUESTIONS

  • We have a tenant who is operating a commercial business in a residential R5 area on our property. We do have liability insurance. It started out as a hobby, but it has gotten beyond that. Do we have any liability in this situation? What are our legal responsibilities? The property is actually in unincorporated Maricopa County.
  • When I was 5 my mom married a man who was not my father, we moved to Wisconsin, and when my mom registered me for school, she just used her married name for me. I am now having problems because my birth cert doesn't match- trying to get a license here in AZ, I am married and the marriage license has my name on it, I have not used the last name on my birth cert since I was 5. There is no act of physical violence, but there was a reported act if violence five years ago. Although I don't have any fears if him hurting us physically there is almost daily verbal abuse, yelling, name calling, etc.

Now I get told that it was stated as "move in quality and we are not entirely repainting" The walls are dirty, scratched and marred, food reminance, and spakle marks everywhere to be seen. Other repairs werent done correctly either, what can I do here if they refuse to do nothing? At this point I want out of the agreement I havent moved in but I have paid deposit rent and signed the lease. Can I legally get out of this?

When they did their walk through they were instructed to turn on to be sure it was in working order it WASNOT they told management and have NOT RECEIVED ANY response. They have been told nothing about it. I have sent emails and placed phone calls to have no response. What can we do. They are freezing. Short of buying space heaters for every room and run the risk of fire
