My son was born while I was married to the man on the birth certificate. He is not the biological father & was aware when we divorced but chose to be his father child support & visitation etc. He owes past due support & so now wants to rebut paternity. Can he do this in AZ if he has already accepted the role knowing he is not the paternal father?

I'm a Deaf single mother with a Deaf 12 year old daughter. We moved here in 2007 to escape from the biological father who physically abused us. We never married. I went to Illinois court in 2005 or 2006 to remove father from birth certificate and change to my last name. We live here in Arizona for 10 years. Just today he filed papers against me for paternity, custody, and child support. We never received child support from him in 10 years. He along with his father and brother are of Pakistani origin have history of violence. His ex gf went through same thing. What to do?

My landlord got a judgement against me for unpaid rent in October. I paid the amount in full as stated in the court document by the date stated in the court document. The day I paid was Nov. 2. Now my rent is late for November. He told me if I paid it by the 15th of Nov. He would only charge me a $75 late fee instead of the $15 a day after the 5th he usually charges. I called him on the 15th I didn't have all of the rent. He is now telling me I have 2 days to get out.Does he have to do the eviction process all over again for November's rent?

We hired a landscaper and gave $2750 deposit for work to begin on August 24th. After several canceled appointments and no shows landscaper agreed to refund deposit. We waited 10 days for refund check and received a post dated check for 30 days into the future. What is our best course of action to get back our money. The company will not return calls or emails and we are worried they will stop payment or close account before we can cash the check

What rights do i have as a tenant if my land lord and his wife are on bad terms and are putting us the tenants in the middle of their martial issues. Landlord is in jail for fraud and beating up his wife. Wife picks up rent money, and landlord sends people to the house to collect rent money even through we gave it to the wife without knowing the landlord was in jail. We are not trying to be in the middle of it, but who do i give the rent money to, if the landlord wants us to give it to other people? The wife wants the money too, but here's the thing we don't have a signed lease no more.
