  • I am currently trying to find an organization or agency to help a victim of domestic violence move her belongings from Glendale, AZ. to Peoria AZ. Is there an organization the can help?
  • Lease states landlord may terminate lease for any reason with 45 or 60 days notice? It also states tenant can terminate with 60 days notice but owe penalties and breach of contract. Is that legal in Arizona ?
  • Can the Landlord charge us for water even though it has been turned off for 2 days (December 1st and 2nd) due to a pipe bursting. We had no control over this and as a result they are still gonna charge us even though we have no running water in the apts for 2 days. What can we do?

  • I moved into an apartment and signed a one year lease, which is up in October. I signed up for Direct TV and they installed a satellite dish. Other tenants have dishes, as well. The complex changed property mgmt companies in June and they told us we had to discontinue our service and remove the dishes, as they were painting the outside of the buildings. They also told us we could not reinstall the dishes. I haven't had TV service since July 1. Can I legally break my lease without cost to me?
  • My 85 year old mother passed away suddenly on May 25. 2013. She had a lease and a security deposit of $200.00. The apartment complex has suddenly (after 3 months of attempting to get it returned after perfect walk through results) decided that I am not able to get any security deposit. Also, refuse to return my extra monies paid to stay for 14 days to remove my mother's items. I was assured that all of the money would be returned to me but now that they have a new owner, they state that they will not return any of the money that they agreed to return to me. AZ law states that they were to notify me within 14 days if any problems with refund with her security deposit or they have to pay double the amount back. Is this applicable in this case? I have continuously attempted to contact them regarding this issue and I finally got a bunch of passing the blame answers and this is three months late.
  • Can a landlord/Rental agent charge the tenant to complete AZ Form 201-Renter’s certificate of Properties Tax Paid. I rent through a Group, Inc. and was told that Inwould have to pay $50 for this form. I renew my lease on a yearly basis (this being my fourth year), and I just paid a $50 fee for their annual residency review. I found out about this form yesterday when having my taxes prepared by XXX. I never knew about it before, and XXXX has never offered it with each lease renewal.
  • I received a 5 day pay or quit notice. I contacted the apartment complex and told them I was having financial difficulties and could only pay Decembers full amount, but not the prorated amount. Im active duty military, what can I do. They won't work with me, even when they have a program to split payments up. What are my options?
  • I receives a 7 day notice to pay my lot rent. I will pay it within the 7 days. However, I received a notice on a bright red paper taped to my door the past 2 days saying my account is deliquent and due immediately. Is it legal for them to do that after giving a 7 day notice in which the 7 days have not expired yet?
