QUESTIONS

  • The air conditioning has been out in our rental since Thursday night. I submitted a maintenance request to the management company that night. The heating and cooling repair man came out on Friday afternoon and said he would need to order a fan. When I called him on Saturday afternoon, he said it hadn't come in yet and that we would need to wait until Monday. Yesterday, he came with the fan and determined that the entire compressor unit needs to be replaced. The management company was unable to reach the owner until 7:30 last night. We still have not gotten an update on how long this will take.
  • how can i get help with my land lord trying to charge me for the patio roof for leaking when soon as I seen it I told him about it? I have pics and emails from when I first told them about it in April 2015 and now its Nov 2015 and they just doing something about it?

This person has threatened me and is obviously being punished by law, what can I do? What AZ statutes if any allow me to break my lease due to my situation?

  • I was charged for burglary and theft felonies. I signed a plea admitting to the theft and the burglary charge was dismissed. After completing my probation the theft was reduced to a misdemeanor. I then had the misdemeanor set aside. Both the burglary and theft are showing up on an apartment background check and they don't say anything about being dismissed or set aside. Could this be an error? Could the court have mistakenly not cleared the conviction? Or is it the program they are using is not accurate? Thanks

  • My child is almost 6 months old, the father left when I was 9 weeks pregnant and has never expressed interest in our child (not wanting to see our child, not asking questions about our child, and not helping with support). He is not on the birth certificate and we haven't done paternity and he had agreed to terminating his rights when my child was born. Can I get his rights severed based on abandonment? Do I have a good case for severing his rights?

I have decided to file motion for joint custody of my child and the father is threatening to evict me. Since there was no lease agreement drawn up an only a verbal agreement in regards to the child support paid as rent can I be evicted? Can I appeal?
