QUESTIONS

  • Can dealers/private sellers of autos contract away implied warranties by "no warranties - as is" provisions in the sales document?
  • We rented our current residence in September 2018. The owner of the property said we did not have access to the front entry area closet and it is locked. There are also other large items that were in the house ( the largest is a China cabinet that we were told we could not damage and a few rather large wall paintings) Nothing was said during the lease negotiations nor is there anything stated in the lease agreement about these items. I want to use the closet and the other items are taking needed space. Technically I'm paying the landlord to store his stuff. What are my rights as a tenant?
  • I'm just curious in case things go wrong. But I'm hispanic & a legal US citizen, my boyfriend is Native American & we have a a child together. From what I've heard from a friend is that by law since he's Native, that he can have full custody of our child. I want to know if this is true, because he's on probation & has a bad record and where he lives with his mom is not so safe for our baby since she smokes. So I'm wondering with that in the way, if I would have more of a right to keep the baby with me?
  • My employer will not provide me with any information such as: how mucht I was payed per hour, how many hours I worked, and if taxes were taken out. Paid by personal check. What do I do?
  • Who is responsible for landscaping on annually or monthly rented Mobile home lots
  • I was charged for burglary and theft felonies. I signed a plea admitting to the theft and the burglary charge was dismissed. After completing my probation the theft was reduced to a misdemeanor. I then had the misdemeanor set aside. Both the burglary and theft are showing up on an apartment background check and they don't say anything about being dismissed or set aside. Could this be an error? Could the court have mistakenly not cleared the conviction? Or is it the program they are using is not accurate? Thanks
  • My car was repossessed and I was only 7 days late from the due date which was on the 15th and I have a 10 day grace period, is this a legal repossession? I also had my purse in the car and was not even able to get that out what rights do I have to get my personal belongings. Please help.
  • My ex-husband and I divorced in 1992 in KS and had 3 minor children at the time. My ex rarely paid his support and actually owes his children thousands of dollars. The question: the children are adults who have been residents of AZ for many years. They now really need funds and I'm unable to help. How would I initiate an audit of monies owed, and where do I start since none of us have been residents of KS for many years. My ex resides in SC. I have been told there are no time limitations to child support.
