  • I am being sued/summoned from Chase through a debt collector to appear in court, they came to my home and made my 16 year old daughter sign the document, This is a 6 year old debt (they sent this account in January 1st 2008 to collection) and after this date I didn't receive any collection letters. I am afraid to face charges or fees other than owed. I need legal advice please!
  • What can I do if the landlord keeps calling and leaving me nasty voicemails?
  • I just recently moved from California and can’t see to find info on these admin and late fees. I paid a $265 admin fee during application process. After I moved in something went through causing that payment to bounce back. I received a 5 day notice to pay that says my “rent” is late and also assessed a $10 day late fee. 1. Can I be evicted over an admin fee. 2. Is this form correct in stating its “rent” 3. Are these late fees legal and can they evict me over them 4. Can I be evicted over a reversed admin fee?
  • What would be the circumstance if my landlord and I both thought we had insurance policies and the address was given to each insurance company incorrectly therefor policies did not exist for the address. Who would be responsible for my loss and damages? The landlord is blaming their contractor for the vandalism, and would this be why my landlord toyed with me for 3 months then finally replaced the HVAC unit when they finally had coverage to do so? Because If I ran into the problem with my insurance company I am sure when they tried to file a claim they ran into the same issue.

To my surprise, after paying all the rent for first month, is that the person I rented this from has signed a relocation agreement with the bank and forced us out of the household in less than a month. Under what statues am I able to pursue this individual?   • My new apt. has many old water leaks I only discovered when it rained, and a large patch of black mold that's not responding to me spraying mold and mildew cleaner on it growing on the outside exterior of my living room wall in a closet. During the last storm, I had water trickling down the drywall and across the ceiling in my bedroom and one can see it's not a new leak and has been repaired before. Maintenance says they can only cosmetically scrape and paint it. I can't live here even if its remedied because it's extensive and I'm very sensitive to mold already. What do I do?
