QUESTIONS

  • I have been divorced for 10 years. My 12 year old daughter recently told me her dad was driving drunk and ran off the road with her in the car. She didn't tell me until she returned after their visit. What should I do? He would take it out on her if I confront him, but I need to protect her. This isn't the first time he has driven her after drinking.
  • I work in the construction industry as a foreman and have to stop by the office most mornings and afternoons to look at project packets, file time cards, and gather necessary tools for the jobsite. The company does not compensate me for this time at all. Is this illegal? Who do I report it to? In addition, I was recently fired for complaining about this as well as many other safety issues.
  • I have a question I need help with? If I was to go and get my kids but the mother and I have no custody agreement or order in place can I get in trouble. I feel as if my kids are being neglected and while they are going to my mother's house over the weekend I want to get them but I don't know if I can get into any trouble with the police being that there is no custody agreement.

I've requested a modification and that's when I was told it doesn't matter, I will pay my ex forever.

  • I informed my landlord that there were several things that needed to be fixed (the dishwasher and the toilet) She never responded to my requests. I waited several days. I then informed her that I would have these items fixed and that I would provide her with receipts of the work done and deduct it from my rent. Again, she did not respond. Now she is seeking late fees for the amount that I deducted from my rent. In addition, the roof has leaked for the last year and after numerous requests has not been fixed to my knowledge. Can she do this and can I break m y Lease?
