QUESTIONS

  • I went to a lawyer for my divorce. He quoted "about $1500.00, maybe a little more." Due to mistakes his people made the divorce took about 8 months. He is now billing me for over $10,000.00. There was no fighting between my former spouse and me, at all. He will not tell my why the cost is more than six times the original amount, and he is now adding interest of 18%.
  • My employer required me to take sick time and use FMLA at the same time is that legal?
  • My recently filed a bar complaint against his public defender because he will not answer his calls, visit him in jail, read his police report, obtain any evidence, listen to his side of the story, speak respectfully to him etc. He is so worried that he is not going to get a fair trial because he doesn't have adequate representation.I can not help him, he needs somebody who will listen to him before trying to force him into accepting a plea. What can he do? He is in 4th ave Jail and has been for 6 months. He is claiming self defense on assault charges.

  • My boyfriend and i just split up and he took my child away and said I'm never goin to seee him again. If i went to court for this could i lose my baby? He works and i dont but im starting my online schooling, I live with my mom and she help me out. My child can't be without me I raised him, I havent left his side.  What would the chances of me having him be and of not being able to see him again? if you could get at me asap please.

  • the landlord was notified that our cooler wasn't working and has still done nothinbg. for two weeks we had to sleep outside because the house was between 115 and 122 degrees inside. now they say the cooler is fine pay the rent. what can i do?
  • I am being charged a fee of $480.00 by a satellite company for cancellation of TV after only 2 weeks of use. I cannot pay $480 and they will not accept $200, nor any kind of monthly payment. I was not aware of any cancellation fee nor did they mention it when ordering. They have been intractable and uncooperative in aiding me. What can I do? I have talked to multiple reps.All have been totally unresponsive.
