QUESTIONS

  • I rented a home for 15 years. It was bought by a new owner 7 years into renting. A mirrored door in bathroom was broken before new owner bought house. I moved out this month and the owner is telling me I need to pay him for the mirror $650 that was broken years before he bought house. Do I owe him this money? How would I get a copy of the home inspection walk through when he bought the house?
  • There's a piping issues that has me in the model apartment instead of mine while they fix it. However, they won't let me bring my dog. She has to be locked up the whole time while they work on the piping in the apartment. What can I do?
  • I was divorced from my husband at the time me and him were both really bad off, I was granted joint custody, but only supervised visitation until I completed drug classes, took u.a.s and could prove I had a place to live and was remaining sober. I have been sober for 2 years now, my ex doesnt have my children now either his parents do, they have temporary guardianship. How do I get the guardianship removed and getr my custody of the children. The judge already said i had it i just had to do those things and I have.
  • I have a first and second mortgage on my home. The value has plummetted by 35% since I bought it 2 years ago. How can I submit for a loan modification program if I have 2 loans? My only other option is foreclosure. What happens if I have to default on the 2nd, but try to stay current on the 1st? I need help!
  • Does the Late Fee Fairness Amendment Act Of 2016 also apply to mobile home park owners? I own my mobile but rent the lot. My landlord charged me a late fee on a late fee, but all of my rent has been paid on time. They claim that they can't apply my rent check for Dec. because it's not the full amount of my account, which includes the late fees. The late fee was because I was disputing the water bill and wasn't paying until we were able to speak about it on the phone, which was past the date that rent is due. They said they would waive the late fees, then reneged.
  • If a child is born out of wedlock and the parents later marry,then separate does the father have equal paternal rights to that child?
  • The father of my children has been absent for 4 years now because he is physically abusive and a drug addict. I do not want him to have access to the children if something were to happen to me as I fear he would harm them. So what can I do to take his parental rights away permanently?

  • My neighbors were evicted from their home. Myself and roommates were helping the family by letting them use our personal items not knowing about anything like this, they never disclosed that they might be evicted. what do we need to do and when will the renters be able to come back to move their stuff and give us back our stuff?   • my landlord back on january 21st 2020 gave me a 30 day notice to vacate, i moved out february 3rd, 2020, however my landlord is still charging me for the full month of february. can my landlord do this? i dont see how my landlord can charge me for the full month of february since i moved out february 3rd 2020, the rent should be pro-rated for the 3 days of february that i was still at my old apartment?
