QUESTIONS

  • My boyfriend and I are of legal age, and my Parents filed a restraining Order. What are my Rights and can they do that?
  • When I first received my daughter's birth certificate (born in 2007) I did not notice it, but after having looked at it again, I noticed my birth date on her birth certificate is incorrect, how can I change it?
  • My son's father and I have had a verbal mutual agreement with him helping me with child support so we would not have to deal with the court. We are still "legally married". He has another kid and is paying child support through the court, which then brought my case as well. The day of the ruling the judge asked if I agreed to have dad pay back child support from three years ago, which I said yes. Can I waive the back pay order, once it has been placed without having to interfere with the current monthly child support ruling?
  • I can't afford an attorney even through the modest means program & no one is willing to help me pro bono. I filed for divorce from my abusive husband & we reached a settlement agreement on 4/28/16. But he continues to use the judicial system to make false accusations against me & keep me in court. How can I stop this harassment, and why won't any attorneys help me pro bono? So many claim to be DV advocates but no one is advocating for me & my daugher.
  • My late husband suffered from Alzheimer's Disease when he borrowed money and signed documents that deeded his home to another person. That person refuses to return title of the home to my late husband's estate even though the loan was paid off in full. What are my rights?
