QUESTIONS

  • I received a call from a detective saying he has me and my car on a video getting into a car where a stereo was stolen... Before I visit with the detective - should I consult with an attorney...
  • My ex-husband and I divorced in 1992 in KS and had 3 minor children at the time. My ex rarely paid his support and actually owes his children thousands of dollars. The question: the children are adults who have been residents of AZ for many years. They now really need funds and I'm unable to help. How would I initiate an audit of monies owed, and where do I start since none of us have been residents of KS for many years. My ex resides in SC. I have been told there are no time limitations to child support.
  • Just moved out to AZ, my girlfriend and I have a house with a pool and a walled in back yard. She asked if it is legal to sunbathe without a swimsuit or any clothes on. I know there are public exposure laws, but does it make a difference that is in my own property and with an enclosed yard? Or if a neighbor looks over my wall and sees her and reports it, are we in the wrong?
  • On first week of june my landlord and i had a verbal agreement which was he wasn't going to charge me for the current months rent as long as i turned in my keys to the unit we agreed to go our separate ways but it is now the 5th day into the new month i had expressed to him that my check was accidentally was being mailed to me he have me a few days now the check isn't here yet and he is telling me i have 2 days to move out and if not out on the 3rd day he will show up to collect last months and current months rent and proceed with eviction. Do i have any rights?
  • A recent partial flood due to a roof leak caused by pigeon feces and nesting on the roof. Birds were also living in the attic. Sewer roaches also infested the attic drawn to waste and moisture present in the attic. With hazardous exposure and health concerns, is this the responsibility of the owner? They are communicating I should have recognized or smelled the nesting and feces and reported it before the problem developed. I requested they order an air quality test due to my asthmatic children and my concern of something in the air about a year ago. They have no record of it?
  • Is it possible to sue a financial estate guardian because they did not let family know where a disabled veteran was and it caused him to be mistreated.

  • I moved into a manufactured house on the first of april with two small dogs. In the lease it states that I can have two small dogs and two domestic cats. The other day my landlord came and verbally told me I could not keep my dogs in doors at night and if I do I have 30 days to move out. Can he do that? It says nothing in my lease about not being able to bring them in at night. I understand he doesn't want them roaming around inside while Im at work all day!! dog's are house trained. He wants me to write a letter stating I want to move out because of this.
