My ex has sole custody of my 17 year old daughter. In November 2010, my daughter spent 2 weeks in residential treatment for cutting. When my daughter was discharged from treatment, it was recommended she participate in more treatment, my ex is not following thru with this. My daughter sounds they way she did whenshe was cutting, I am worried w/o treatment she will hurt herself. Can I file for emergency custody? Called CPS but they are not sure if they will bebable to respond timely. Can I file the one where my ex is not served? Not sure if the situation meets the criteria for that?

I received a loan check from a company I previously had a loan with at one time. The check had only my name and I was the only one to sign it. Now, due to being laid off, a judgement has been entered and they will begin garnishing my wages. However, they also included my now ex-husband in the judgement and are going to garnish his wages. How can they do this if the loan was in my name only?

I have had my brother in law and his wife here at my residence that I am renting for seven months. They were told repeated times to start paying a specific amount of money a month and ignored my requests. They chose not to sign a written agreement and still refuse to pay. They are not on the lease either. I want to know if I have grounds to give them a 5 or 30 day notice to vacate. And if I can mail it, as they are staying with someone else for a couple months, or if I have to hand it to them personally. Thank you

I was wondering what can I do if the mother is not paying child support? The children are 16 & 17 both are still in school. The original order was: Children stay with mother and father had to pay child support. Now the children are staying with us full time in another State and mother is not paying child support or sending any funds. Father is scared to ask for support. I help what the children needs but I feel its not fair that she's not paying her end. What can I do to have her start paying for child support? I want to do this anonymously? Do I have rights as a step parent to turn her in?

My wife and I are presently fight for cusody of our 7yr old. She lives in Fort Mohave, AZ and I live in Phoenix. Since we have not come to an agreement on the cusody matter, she has been not allowing me to speak or bring my son to Phoenix for a long weekend. What rights do I have? We are still waiting on a court hearing in front of a judge in Mohave County. Note: She is not living with the child, her parents are taking care of him.

I rented a house from a realtor and was in the house for over a year and a half and gave her a month and a half notice when I would be moving out. I am a smoker and no where in my lease does it say anything about not smoking in the property, now she is saying it will come out of my deposit whatever it cost her to get rid of the smoke smell. Is this legal?
