  • My home was foreclosed (sold at auction) in 2009. I had two loans on the home, my primary residence: a Primary and a Home Equity Line of Credit. I have become aware that the HELOC bank, *****, has not written off my loan yet; this is preventing me from purchasing another home, which I have under contract. Q: Should a HELOC be considered "settled" with a foreclosure or can ***** the bank still pursue me for the unpaid loan amount (+$100K)? I am waiting to hear from *****, but they are extremely slow to respond and this could cause me to lose a potential new home! :-(
  • I just did my paternity test and Iam the father when my daughter was born my ex did not put me on the birth certificate so i want to get another birth certificate with my name on it? Is this a simple procedure done at the social security office just bringing in my paternity test papers. Cause my ex has the original birth certificate?

  • I own a mobile home but rent the land it sits on (in a park). Monthly, the landlord sends a bill that includes a base rent, charges for electricity, water use, and sewer. It also includes a "rent tax." I'm unsure what this rent tax is and whethere he should be paying it or I should. There is also a "service charge" of $10 on the monthly electric portion, which I think is a reading fee (a man who lives here reads the meters). Are these last two charges legitimate?

  • I was a victim of Domestic Abuse on 3/9/13. I called & also faxed a notice to landlord telling her I was vacating the property on 3/11/13 & told her why & attached copy of Restraining order. Now she won't give me back my deposit because she let my husband move back in & he messed up the place. At the time I gave her notice he was not living there & the keys were returned to her. Since she did not do a walk through on 3-11 and let him move back in, am I still responsible for damages? She said she had 30 days to release me from the lease. Is this true.
  • Over the weekend my apartment flooded but not just water. Feces flooded both showers and kitchen into the entries of the bedrooms, actual pieces of feces are seen floating around. Management is only going to get the carpets cleaned. I have never experienced this and seeking advice. I strongly feel the carpet needs to be replaced. Its feces! not just water flood. I have kids as well playing and running around on the floors. I feel disgusted at this point. Please Help!!
