Question: I'm pregnant and have come across and emergency that requires me to go out of town. If I was to go into labor while being in a different state, will ahcccs cover me?
Answer: According to AHCCCS, most emergency situations that happen and result of an emergency room visit out of state, is covered. However, the amount of time the person is out of state is also taken into account. In terms of a pregnancy and giving birth out of Arizona, AHCCCS instructs individuals to call the number on the AHCCCS card and ask if it would be covered under the specific program that the individual is enrolled in. Refer to AHCCCS for detailed information regarding a policy with them.
